We are currently seeking Sales Account Managers for our Equipment & Linen Division.

We have positions in two locations, in Laurel at our headquarters as well as in Tyson's Corner at our Design Studio.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking individuals with a successful track record in client services and relationship-based sales, preferably within the event industry.  Sales or operational experience in the industry is preferred but not required.  Key elements to include:

  • Ongoing client service as a member of a team environment will be a crucial component of this position.
  • Strong relationship skills, a passion for providing exceptional service, and a desire to be a meaningful member of a successful team is required.
  • Attention to detail is paramount, as is an ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Well qualified candidates have the ability to self-educate, and must have a true desire to learn and develop.
  • Having strong communication skills is the most important key to success in this position, specifically  providing timely responses to phone calls and emails from clients and coworkers.
  • Maintaining accountability for all elements of the customer relationship, including the placement and execution of all contracts, invoicing and payment collection, customer service and problem resolution, inventory protection, and proactive selling.
  • Identifying and marketing to prospective clients, including professionals in catering, hotels, venues, food services, universities, event planning and many other industries.

Summary of Position:

 

Select Event Group is a full service event production company with over forty years of experience creating successful events. We have one of the broadest arrays of high quality event rentals including fine linens, tabletop settings, tenting, structure, flooring, and a complete selection of tables and chairs, with the recent acquisition of a décor division, which offers turn-key event planning and design services.

 

We are currently seeking experienced lead drivers to be the face of our company while making deliveries to some of the area’s most exciting and prominent venues.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The position requires driving our trucks and managing a crew or 1-2 people while interfacing with our clients. This position gives you the availability for overtime and incentive programs.

 

Qualifications:

 

1 year of experience driving straight trucks, up to 24'

 

Must pass DOT physical and drug screening (background check)

 

Must be available to work days, nights and weekend

 

Must have excellent customer service

 

Valid driver’s license

 

Clean drivers record

 

Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.

 

Must have people skills and be able to problem solve

 

Should have knowledge of Maryland, DC and Virginia

 

Must be 21 years of age

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Tasked with influencing, overseeing and driving all areas relating to linen inventory
  • Make critical decisions about the composition of the inventory, to include purchasing, manufacturing and quality control
  • Will be part of bringing in the latest trends and styles of linen
  • Managing fabric elements in all studios
  • Managing and creating budgets
  • Managing and creating inventory levels due to budget and analytics
  • Attend conventions and seminars to maintain cutting edge products
  • Manage return on investments

Tent & Structure Division

Assistant Foreman - APPLY NOW

Summary of Position:

Select Event Group is a full service event production company with over forty years of experience creating successful events. We have one of the broadest arrays of high quality event rentals including tenting, structure, flooring, fine linens, superior table settings and a complete selection of tables and chairs, with the recent acquisition of a décor division, which offers turn-key event planning and design services.

We are looking for an Assistant Foreman for the Tent & Structure Division in the Greater Baltimore/Metro DC Markets.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Selected candidates will assist in the planning of projects through completion. In addition to long hours, including nights and weekends, this position will require a desire to learn and work hard.

Qualifications:

  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Relevant experience may include construction or similar outdoor projects. Specific experience includes installation of temporary structures, flooring and tenting in the event industry.
  • Ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong leader capable of managing and motivating others.
  • Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make ones self understood to all Spanish speaking individuals.
